When Eyes Meet
When Eyes Meet
It is said the eyes are the windows to one’s soul
And the heart beats fastest when it is in love.
When the eyes of lovers unite across the distance
Tears fall quietly, helpless to console
Time stops still, just for an instant
In the glimpse: are whispers of longing and desire
Just a look, a gaze, are dreams of words unspoken,
And in the exchange of gentle smiles, warm and sweet
Is the message of the glance, a hug and tender kiss
The EMBRACE, to touch, of something missing
Forever, across the heavens
When eyes meet.
